The 11th International Symposium on Operations Research in Slovenia (SOR’11) will be held in Dolenjske Toplice, Slovenia. Dolenjske Toplice is the center town of Topliska Valley in the South East of Slovenia, close to the city of Novo mesto. The name Dolenjske Toplice derives from the Slovenian term for thermal springs, toplice, and means Spa of Lowlands. Hot water vents have marked the development of the place since ancient times. The heart of the area is located next to St Anne's Church, which was converted to the baroque style and dates back to 1648. The main activity in this area with a population of 3200 is centred on tourism, which is driven by the local spa and picturesque scenery. Dolenjske Toplice is the starting point of the Podgorjanska Wine Road; there are other theme routes as well: the Dormouse Hunting Trail, Rožek Forest Nature Trail, Archaeology Trail, and others.
